How long does the suit order process take?

All suits are handcrafted so a minimum of 8-12 weeks notice is recommended to ensure the delivery of your suit on time. Rush orders are available upon request and will be considered depending on my current workload. An extra charge will apply to rush orders.

When will I receive my suit?

I do my best to have the suit order process flow in a timely manner. The timeframe for the shipment of your suit prior to your show date depends on how far in advance your order is placed. I generally mail suits no later than two weeks prior to the show date. Shipping costs are reflected based on the method of shipment and the value declared.

What are your Shipping Rates?

I ship via USPS. For Plain Suits and Men’s Trunks, I ship Priority Mail with insurance which runs $10.00. For Custom Made Suits I ship Express Mail with insurance which is $30.00-$50.00 depending on insurance value declared and destination. All packages are insured. My shipping rates are close to the true cost of shipping, I do not charge extra handling fees. Styles by Miles, LLC and Lisa Miles will not be responsible for any lost, damaged or late delivery of suits shipped. How much do your suits cost?It is my commitment to provide you with a top quality suit priced for your budget. As a former competitor myself, I understand the importance of feeling beautiful in a suit that compliments your physique and gives you confidence onstage. My pricing for embellished suits ranges from $300-$1,500.00 to accommodate every budget. Several factors determine the cost of a suit such as the design intricacy, quality, size and color variety of stones used, as well as the labor and time involved to create the suit. I use all precious Swarovski crystals for the rhinestone embellishments. I assure you that the quality of my work for the cost will impress you.

What is your return policy?

All suits are custom made as they are ordered. A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure an order. For custom suits, I will send you the un-stoned suit once it is sewn to try on. Any needed adjustments will be made when I receive the suit back from you. Once a suit is stoned it is considered complete and there is a “No Refund/No Exchange” policy on completed suits. We will not be held responsible for any errors made by the customer on measurements. Please remember your weight and shape will change drastically during the week of your show! For Rental and Pre-Made Suits I will gladly exchange or issue you a refund (less shipping) as long as the suit has not been worn and you notify me within 3 days of receiving the suit that it does not work for you. Order Postpone or Cancellation: If you need to postpone your order, please let me know before I start making your suit to receive a store credit of 100% of your order for a period of one year from the original order date. How Long have I been making suits?

I have loved fashion and elaborate costuming since I began ballroom dancing as a child. My mother and I designed and created all of my dance dresses for many years. I started making competition suits in 2004 for myself because I hated the first suit that I bought from another suit maker at the Arnold in 2003. Being involved with Mike Davies and the Fitness Factory, it only made sense that I start building a business for fellow competitors to support my fitness career. It has continued to evolve over the years as I have made suits for several hundred NPC and IFBB competitors and built my spray tanning business as well.

How do I clean my suit?

Taking proper care of your suit is the key to maintaining it’s condition. Cleaning instructions are recommendations, but they are not a guarantee. Styles By Miles is not responsible for the durability, ornamentation or laundering of the suit.

Hand wash in cold water in the sink using a mild detergent such as Woolite. Gently slosh up and down in the water for 1-2 minutes just long enough to lift tanning product from the suit. Then, turn the right side onto your hand so the inside lining is facing up. Pour a small amount of detergent on any glue spots as well as crotch area. Using a small brush such as a toothbrush or nail brush, gently brush in one direction until the glue rolls off. Now empty sink. Rinse clean in fresh cold water. Drain excess water by gently squeezing the suit without twisting or disrupting the stonework. Note: The glue I use is white when wet but will dry clear again. Place the suit on a towel on a flat surface, place another towel on top of the suit and gently press down to remove any excess water. Leave the suit on a dry towel on a flat surface until dry.
